It seems that opinion is split among the British public when it comes to Rishi Sunak’s Stamp Duty extension. YouGov polled over 1500 British adults, asking them, “How fair is stamp duty?”

The most certain answers received the fewest votes, with Very Fair and Very Unfair fetching a collective 13% of responses. Meanwhile, the uncertain responses, Fair and Unfair, were split by just 1% of votes, receiving 22% and 23%, respectively.

By far, the most popular responses were in favour of the most ambivalent options, with Neither and Not Sure accounting for nearly half of responses at 43% collectively.
