With one Bank Holiday down and another to come at the end of May, YouGov asked, “Imagine a bank holiday weekend where Monday is the bank holiday. If you wanted to extend the already three-day weekend by taking a day off work, would you rather take the Friday or the Tuesday off?”

In response to a recent LinkedIn poll, one user said, “As we approach another Bank Holiday weekend, with one more to go in May, it often feels like we have this flood of four Bank Holidays over Easter and May, nothing until the end of August and then again nothing until Christmas, right at the end of December.

I have always thought that another Bank Holiday sneaked into the middle of that 120 days/4 month-long period between August and Christmas would be good for the nation’s soul. For example, around the end of October e.g. All Hallows Day/Harvest Day/Samhain? And the extra day in 2022 for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be awesome (2-3 June).”
